The COVID Experience: An advocacy and passion to ignite entrepreneurial spirit thru digital media . . .

Roy Rodrigazo Luga, a.k.a., Roy Rodrigazo, is a photographer, videographer, editor for almost three (3) decades; a blogger for over two (2) decades; a product designer/developer; and, brand communication specialist, advocating for the responsible use of digital technology and social media.

His passion for writing and photography started when he was a student.  He was a contributor writer to their college publication and later became a Managing Editor of their College Year Book "The Torch 84" at West Negors University in Bacolod City. Subsequently, he studied Bachelor of Laws at the University of Negors Occidental Recollectos, Silliman University and finally graduated at San Sebastian College in Manila in 1988. He then worked at the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency from 1989 to 1992 where he took up a crash course in photography while attending his Basic Intelligence Course. He then transferred to the Department of Agriculture and other government agencies as Legal Officer; as Senior Executive Assistant III in NIA, Special Investigator II and IV, and Chief Human Resources Development Officer, CSC.  He continued his passion for photography, writing, and publication while in government service working with church-based and non-profit organizations in their advocacy campaigns by contributing his talent. 

In 2005, he became the official photographer, blogsite designer, and developer of Pilipinas Ngayon Na TV Program aired at PTV 4 hosted by Usec. Robert T. Rivera,  former Undersecretary for Operations, Office of the Press Secretary, Office of the President, who later became President of RPN-9, then as member of its Board of Trustees.  He also became the photographer, cyber publicist of Bellstar Events Management, owned by Bella Dimayuga of the Bellestar Dancers, promoting local and international talents.

In 2010, he founded ITSURA, a group of models with their parents, Hair and Make-Up Artists (HMUAs) and Photographers to propel his advocacy on the responsible use of digital media.  He then regularly organizes photoshoot events at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife sharing his knowledge and experience with newbie photographers and talents.

He traveled to California in 2010 to spend a vacation with her sister and took images while on tour.  He went back to California in 2016 and took pictures of California and Los Angeles with his relatives and newfound friends while on tour.

As a PHOTOGRAPHER:

He started taking pictures since he was in high school in 1978 until today.  You can see his works in portraiture, weddings, and events at his albums in his Facebook Account: Roy Rodrigazo. As early as 2009, he already produced blog magazine with photos and videos album on weddings by Roy Rodrigazo Luga. 

As a VIDEOGRAPHER/DOCUMENTOR:

He produced different video documentaries, film and maintains three YouTube Channels (ITSURA 1; ITSURA 2 ; ROY LUGA) with a total number of more than 100 subscribers and hundreds of thousands of views.

He produced documentaries such as "ANG BAGONG PAKIKIBAKA: THE BOHOL EXPERIENCE: 2009". In 2010, the Armed Forces of the Philippines' anti-insurgency Strategy: "OPLAN BAYANIHAN" was implemented patterned after the Bohol Experience. He also produced a documentary entitled "One Barangay, One Chapel, One Church: Cauayan, Isabela" and the re-establishment of the School of St. Matias in Tumanuini, Isabela with Father Angel B. Luga (+). They are advocating for the establishment of a Chapel in each Brangangay in Cauayan, Isabela and the alumni's support for the re-establishment of St. Matias Catholic School in Isabela.

As EVENT ORGANIZER:

He founded ITSURA , a group of models with their parents, Hair and Make-Up Artists (HMUAs) and Photographers in 2010.

He is a writer, photographer, videographer, editor for the past three (3) decades.  He became a blogger, blog designer and developer in 2005. He was the official photographer of Pilipinas Ngayon Na television program aired at PTV 4 from 2005 to 2008.  The show was then hosted by Usec. Robert T. Rivera, Deputy Secretary for Operations of the Office of the President.

As a BLOGGER:

He designed and developed blogsites since 2004. Among the blogsites he designed are  Pilipinas Ngayon On-Line Blog Magazine  ;  Bella Dimayuga Blog Magazine. He is also engaged in church-based and non-government organizations' advocacy projects.  He produces souvenir programs, publications, and blogsites as a medium to propel the  advocacy of organizations such as: Ostomy Association of the Philippines; Malappo Nga Ibanag One Baragay One Chapel Projects in Cauayan, Isabela;  Saint Rose of Lima Parish in Gamu, Isabela, among others.


As MANAGING EDITOR:

After early retirement in 2017, he teamed up with Robert T. Rivera, former Undersecretary for Press Operations, Office of the President and President of RPN-9, Republic of the Philippines and became the Managing Editor of Pilipinas Ngayon Na Business and Lifestyle Magazine.  Today, Pilipinas Ngayon Na Business and Lifestyle Magazine flourished from 100 to thousands of copies afterward. While Rivera, who also returned to the private sector,  is now co-hosting a TeleRadyo Program at DWIZ 882 kHz: Pilipinas Ngayon Na with Lolly Acosta as host.

As INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER/PUBLICIST:

While on vacation in California in 2018, he met Corazon Ugalde Yellen Armenta, an international model, actress, writer, and philanthropist, who founded  Corazon Productions in Los Angeles, California.  Together, they launched Corazon Productions and the Special Edition of Pilipinas Ngayon Na Business and Lifestyle Magazine, Los Angeles Edition, including the Corazon Ugalde Yellen Armenta advocacy.  Armenta is advocating to develop talents to become entrepreneurs while Rodrgiazo is advocating for the responsible use of digital media.

As PUBLISHER:

Meanwhile, Rodrigazo published a content-based magazine, FAHIONISTA.PH in July 2017 and ELEGANCE Beauty Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine in December 2019.  To support their newfound advocacy, Armenta, and Rodrigazo, came-up with perfume and scent production project in the Philippines featuring Armenta as the main brand endorser while developing deserving talents as product and brand endorsers.



Today,  Roy Rodrigazo and Usec. Robert T. Rivera still remains the best of friends in the mass media industry.  Rivera recently launched a new segment in his TeleRadyo Program: Pilipinas Ngayon Na at DWIZ 882 kHz: "Usapang Lupa (real estate) at Negosyo (and Business)".  The program's advocacy is also to ignite Filipino's entrepreneurial spirit worldwide.

At present, Corazon Productions of Los Angeles, California, is continuously promoting her advocacy, looking for marketing partners, while undertaking projects to propel its mission with other talents as endorsers.
